AppMix: A hot trend, 10 augmented reality apps

One of the current major trends with the real time web, and location based services is "augmented reality": this is about adding smart layers of data (most of the time visually rendered) on top of whatever you are currently watching in real life via your camera. A new generation of apps are being created for that and one of our Appsfire users has made a selection that we completed. Here is below the selection

You'll note that most of those apps are paid apps and to be honest give the amount of work this would make sense. The very first app that introduced that concept was Metro Paris (a french made app), followed by Yelp and others. But one of the most interesting recently created in Fairy trails that is a game based on augmented reality. Let us know if you think we missed some important ones

Maybe one day Apple will make a Discovery section out of this?
