Also very cool! #1 productivity app in France #pastefire

Everyone is going to make its own top 2009 apps ranking. But a few are worth featuring. We already did with Lifehacker
Here is the one published on TechCrunch (by AppVee)
Prepare a budget of $200 to get them all, since Santa Claus has already passed by :)
We are pleased to announce the publication of a new list within our in-app discovery tab: the "Top 15 Grossing Apps (Global)". This list computes the total revenue generated by the apps that we track based on the simple formula below:
number of units installed X app price
In other words those are the apps that are likely to generate most revenue on The App Store. This is interesting because the most downloaded apps as displayed on the app store are not necessarily the most revenue making for the publisher (70%) & for Apple (30%); e.g. an app worth $0.99 downloaded 1000 times makes less money that an app worth $2.99 downloaded 500 times)
While the data is not comprehensive (we only track a few thousand "springboards" so far), it is a good indication of what sort of apps generate revenue. We hope this list will help you with your discovery, but also enlighted the developer community in terms of what works and what doesn't.
To discover this unique ranking open appsfire iphone app and jump to the discovery section
Enjoy and share!
