VIP: welcoming Steve Jobs and uncovering his favorite iPad/iPhone apps

Don't ask us how we did it. We already published the favorite Apps of Phil Schiller in the past. Now we are really proud to present you the precious favorite Apps of Mr Steve Jobs himself, joining today our VIP.

The selection speaks for itself. Someone you can say: show me which apps you have, i ll tell you who you are. This could be the case here.

Below Steve Jobs selection, also available on MyAp.ps/SteveJobs

Welcome to @ChrisPirillo to AppsFire VIP

You have power users and POWER users. Chris Pirillo, the king of geeks, always on is a POWER user of the iPhone. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Appsfire VIP

You can discover Chris' apps at myAp.ps/Pirillo

Chris has LOTS of apps: 444 exactly and has spent 701$ on them exactly.

A POWER user we said.

He was for a long time (not so long) looking for a solution to discover new great apps and even created iPhone.lockergnome.com a kind of digg for apps powered by Sinkslet. He even has a web blog in the form of an iPhone web app

Chris discovered Appsfire at LeWeb and spontaneously twitted about it. I reached out and offered him to join our VIP.

Welcome, Chris!

CNN: Celebrities (real world celebrities) top apps

Looks like our VIP is giving some ideas to others. CNN has just published a list of 8 apps preferred by some celebrities. 1 per person.

  • Kelly Slater, Professional surfer
  • T-Pain, Rapper
  • Randall Stephenson, CEO, AT&T
  • Yves Behar, Industrial designer
  • Dana Delany, Actress
  • Bonnie Hammer, President, NBCU Cable
  • Neil Patrick Harris, Actor
  • Rachael Ray, Celebrity chef

i wish 1. they published their all selection 2. CNN included links to those apps

So since we are nice guys, we created a widget for it, with all links. And if one of those guys wants to join our VIP, we ll be thrilled (and our users too). Who knows this may happen one day :)

AppMix: @GeekyGirlDawn favorite iPhone apps (from @WebWorkerDaily )

Here is another look at a savvy blogger Dawn Foster who just posted some of her favorite iPhone. We took the liberty to gather them in a live iPhone widget

Playing with applications on an Android phone got me thinking about how I use applications on my iPhone. I’m always interested in seeing what applications my friends are using on their phones, so I thought people might be interested in reading about the iPhone applications that I use.

Yep. This is why we invented AppsFire. Let's hope she likes it and you too :)

AppMix: @reneritchie from @theiphoneblog - second screen

Rene Ritchie from the iPhone Blog wanted to share his apps

We thought it would be a nice idea to include them in a live iPhone widget rather than a cold screenshot. Which we did. The interesting stuff is that Rene's first screen is really standard, so he focused on the second

My home screen is incredibly boring. Because I have a few devices, and I do a lot of testing with them, I also have to restore them fairly often and it’s gotten to the point where I just leave everything in its default location because it’s a) easier than rearranging and b) I don’t have to hunt for stuff I haven’t rearranged.

So, my second screen has become where I move my non-default, but still more often used apps. Typically the exact order will vary due to the reasons above, but the apps are fairly consistent.

Here are his apps
