Yesterday we were happy to announce a new step with Facebook which makes Appsfire even more useful to discover great apps.

Until now you could easily, automatically or manually create your list of favorite apps and share that with your friends. But it was not convenient to instantly discover all your friends' apps at once. So we decided to let you import your facebook friends in Appsfire so you can discover their apps conveniently in a brand new Community section

Discover the magic of Appsfire, Discover the apps of your friends

The magic is that you really don't have to do anything. If you use Facebook connect we take care about bringing them to you. We firmly believe that people only care about the apps of people they know or can relate to. This is why we're not building a new social network. And if you don't see any of your friends yet just invite them, or check our VIP users. Discovering at once all the apps of your closest friends is really magical and fascinating. Try it, you'll see

The Facebook pulse, How the world love apps

We also announce the extension of Apptrends for Facebook. AppTrends is a live App ranking, not based on Downloads but on how people feel about apps. We built it for Twitter but already had in mind the extension to Facebook and soon to new networks. Like on Twitter, and even more so on Facebook we render a qualitative pulse about how people feel about apps at a certain moment in time. We crawl Facebook public feed and we structure that feed in a convenient Ranking. You can filter it iPhone/IPad. And you can roll back in time also.

Unlike twitter where we measure just mentions, we track here comments (mentions), share and "like" activity. It gives you a fascinating picture of apps you will not necessarily find in the App Store ranking and many times anticipate an App landing in the App Store top ranking, very early on. And we do that in real time, constantly scanning hundreds of thousands of expressed emotions in Facebook.

The news was covered by Techcrunch, Mobile Entertainment, Knowyourcell, NextWeb (thanks for their coverage)

Next Week we'll announce a new cool product. One that is going to save you a lot of money.

Enjoy Appsfire!
