Boosting App discovery with a little more fuel

We're excited today to announced we closed a new round of funding with the Top french VC IDinvest (who backed so many great startups like Dailymotion, Deezer, Criteo, Curse, Viadeo,...)

We believe App discovery is still in its infancy. When you talk to developers, even the best, they will all mention they hit a major issue. Guess which one it is? App discovery. Maybe not at launch when the buzz get out. But they will hit the wall. How do you get a chance to hit and find the right users for your app. Not just random users, but the right one. Those who will stick and love your app.

We were the very first company to address actively this challenge. And we believe App stores wherever they are from won't totally solve this issue for at least 2 good reasons: they are driven by the interest of an e-commerce service (paid app first, free after) and they lack efficient, native, controllable marketing channels. This is why there is a massive demand for efficient marketing solutions for apps. And like every new format they need a special ad treatment.

Appsfire is creating new innovative formats that bring efficient results. We believe in non intrusive, optin, non incentivized, highly personal formats: something traditional ad networks do not provide. With over 100 paid customers like Paramount Pictures, Barnes & Nobles, Spotify, King.com and many more we learned quietly how to build successful campaigns for apps.

App Discovery is often considered as the equivalent for user acquisition (how can i get a new download). But this is just part 1. Too many times developers are obsessed with acquisition and do not consider the engagement post acquisition. This is something we hear many developers complain about when they use incentivized downloads for example (you pay or reward users to download your app)

With Appsfire we know this is a critical issue and our coming products will help solving that.

Finally we believe app discovery can't and will never be solved in a unique way. Discovery is not a monolithical issue. Some think editorial can solve this, some think search will solve this....it is way more complex than that because every user has different behaviors, expectations and motivations and we plan to answer every single need we can think of

We want to thank all our users for their love, our investors for their support

Oh by the way, we're hiring big time. So come have fun with us!

Now, let's get to work. We have not started yet :)
