iOS5 loves twitter. We knew it would have an impact on twitter as an app. More and more people become aware of this sharing service and sign up.

4 days after the release of iOS5, we can already observe an impact on Twitter growth, or better said, rank.

Twitter is published in the social networking category in the App store and its rank, because it is so high, has always been stable. But the overall rank of twitter is boosted from #41 to the top 25 in a few days, reaching even the top 10.

We don’t anticipate this trend to go down. It just shows how a native integration can boost the discovery of a an app. And over time we re certain other twitter apps will enjoy a parallel (not equivalent) growth as users will want to try new twitter features not available in the native one.
