18 days after an update that causes the app to lose all its appeal with users, Snapchat has finally fixed the bug that caused the app to crash. The App score is now back to a Shiny 93 (meaning RED HOT). The app before went down to 35 and collected hundreds of negative ratings/reviews. Not cool.
What took them so long? Their massive coming funding? An impossible bug to find [hard to believe]?
In any case only today Snapchat has decided to speak up in their blog. But they made a major mistake. They had a “critical crash” going on. And only waited today to communicate on it. In the meantime during 18 days millions of users have had a very bad experience with the App.
Why did they wait so long to speak up? Why didn’t they publish something on their blog? In their app description? or Even better in their app (using in app notifications). They had absolutely no reason to remain silent until today.
Such a high profile can’t afford to behave like that to its users.
ps: The update also include a new way to handle Kids registration but also an appropriate experience for the younger ones…
