App Score July Report - What happened in the App Quality world in July?

As we promised last month, we will compile a monthly App Score Report, and this is the July edition.

So what are the main movements for July?

Move the Box , Paper Toss, Logos Quiz Game & 2 other apps left the TOP 25 Free apps.
Angry Birds Games fulfills the Top 25: Angry Birds Lite (#5), Angry Birds Free (#6), Angry Birds Rio Free (#15), Angry Birds Seasons Free (#21).
SCRABBLE left the Top 25 Paid apps and its App Score dropped from 96 to 12! The new update really upset users.

Evernote and Movies by Flixster, with Rotten Tomatoes & 2 other apps left the Top 25 Free apps.
Chrome reached the Top 5 in less than 2 months after its release (June 26th).
Facebook Messenger enters the Top 25 this month and reaches directly the 5th rank.
Viber & Magic Piano entered the Top 25.

Where’s My Perry? reached the 3rd rank in less than 2 months after its release (June 28th).
CSR Racing won 11 places and reached #10. This great progression in our App Score Report is confirmed on Techcrunch (A $12-Million-A-Month iOS Game? NaturalMotion Has It With CSR Racing). The game passed $12 million in monthly revenue.
Mirror’s Edge™ for iPad and 3 other apps left the Top 25 Paid apps.

Evernote and Movies by Flixster, with Rotten Tomatoes, Google Earth, IMDb Movie & TV & 2 other apps left the Top 25 Free apps.
Pages and 3 other apps left the Top 25 Paid.
360 Panorama left the Top 25 Paid apps to the Top 25 Free apps. The app became FREE between August 2nd & August 12th.
Google+ became universal on July 10th and reached #6 in the Top 25 Free.

Top 2 Paid Games for iPhone & iPad are Rovio’s Amazing Alex (iPhone, iPad) and The Dark Knight Rises [is that a surprise?]
It’s interesting to see that no apps released in July reached the Top 25 Ever while Chrome, Where’s My Perry?, Asphalt 7: Heat did it last month.
SongPop Free (App Score: 94) performed very well last month but is not in the Top 25 Ever Free Game, while the paid version (App Score: 92) reached the Top 25. It can be explained by the fact that more free apps perform well, so it’s more difficult to reach the Top Free apps, than the Top Paid apps.
